TREASURES OF THE SNOW

TREASURES OF THE SNOW

Isaiah 55:10  "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater."

Just as God asked Job " Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?" Job38:22,

We likewise may not see those treasures, but surely, they are there. We look on the coming of snow storms with dread and trepidation because they cause temporary inconvenience to our daily life and even our livelihood. They put danger in our pathway because we don't seem willing to take time from our own willfull way to accept from God the treasures of the snow as he showers them on us. It is a known fact that snow brings with it God's natural fertilizer for the earth, namely ammonia and nitrogen.                                                                                                                                                                                                              In my 70+ years, I have noted that while so-called catastrophic blizzards have caused much damage, death, and disaster; in the seasons following such, the crops of wheat, cotton , beans, etc.etc.etc. have seemed to me to be more bountiful. While when we have much less accumulations of snow, the agriculture doesn't seem to fare as well.  My logic may be flawed, but it seems to me that if it is raining or snowing we should stay out of the weather unless ABSOLUTE NECESSITY dictates otherwise.                                                                  When our priorities are in order, we can sit back and know that God brings much benefit to us in the TREAUSRES OF THE SNOW.
